Course Overview
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) at Diversity Diving Center is designed to help you become a competent and professional PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Our course includes:
PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) Course: This first phase of the IDC focuses on teaching you the fundamentals of dive instruction, classroom presentations, and skills development.
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Program: The second phase prepares you to teach a wide range of PADI courses and conduct practical sessions both in confined water and open water environments.
Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) Course: You will also become certified as an EFR Instructor, enabling you to teach first aid and CPR – essential skills for any diving professional.
Test Examinations & Workshops: Our IDC includes numerous practice teaching sessions, workshops, and test exams to ensure you’re fully prepared for the PADI Instructor Examination (IE).

Course Prerequisites
To enroll in the PADI IDC at Diversity Diving Center, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Be a certified PADI Divemaster (or equivalent).
- Have logged at least 60 dives and completed your Rescue Diver certification.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a current Emergency First Response (EFR) certification (or equivalent) within the last 24 months.
